High blood pressure often has no signs. You can feel fine and still be at risk of stroke or heart and kidney damage.
In towns, about one adult in three has high blood pressure. Many do not know.
Check your pressure. A reading of 140/90 or higher, more than once, means you should see a doctor.
Eat less salt, cut fatty and fried food, walk often, and avoid too much alcohol.
If you get medicine, take it every day, even when you feel well. Stopping is dangerous.
